Obituary
Dorothy Lillian Heckbert passed away peacefully at her home in Saint John, New Brunswick on 17 March 2021. She was born on 22 October 1925 in Whitney, New Brunswick, the daughter of the late Edward and Edith (Allison) Dunnett.
She is survived by daughters Jane Sanford (John) and Carole McCracken; three grandchildren: Jacob Sanford (Olivia), Jennie Sanford and Aaron McCracken (Kyla); four great grandchildren: Ethan & Elliott Sanford & Mabel & Maisie McCracken.
Dorothy is also survived by a number of caring nieces and nephews.
Dorothy volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 21 years and enjoyed being part of her Saint John Bridge Club for more than 40 years. She was a member of Silver Link Rebekah Lodge #61 Miramichi and was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Start #27 Miramichi.
Dorothy lived a full and happy life and was dearly loved by her family and friends. She adored family get-togethers, especially when her beloved grandchildren were present.
At Dorothy’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Interment will take place in Miramichi at a later date.
