It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Donald “Don” John Schueler of Bruderheim, Alberta on June 2, 2021 at the age of 87 years.
Mr. Schueler is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Judy; son, Blaine (Darlene) Schueler; and stepchildren, Rhonda (Mike) Klos, James Wright, and Kimberli (Victor) Krepulec; Seven grandchildren, Jordan & Jessie Schueler, Rachel Klos, Sila & Harlow Wright, and Oliver & Willa Krepulec; Sister, Darlene Kearns, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Schueler was predeceased by his parents, Emil & Esther Schueler; and his sisters, Lorraine Dobie, Shirley Liepert, and Della Astleford.
Mr. Schueler had a long career of providing service to people, through his many years of Municipal Policing, Ambulance Owner/Operator, Bylaw Officer. Grandpa will fondly be remembered by his grandchildren for sneaking/sharing goodies with them. Donald will be dearly missed by his loving family.
Family would like to thank the staff at the Lamont Health Care Centre and Dr. Lordache for their care and compassion over the last few weeks of Donald’s life, as well as Qualicare Home Care of Edmonton East – Teresa and Naomi for their home care services, and Nadia from Home Care Support.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Connelly-McKinley Edmonton South Funeral Chapel, 4820 Meridian Street, Edmonton, T6P 1R3. Pastor, Darrell Beaudoin will be officiating, with interment to follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, 4814 Meridian Street NW, Edmonton, T6P 1R3.
