1934 – 2021
Mr. Donald ‘Don’ Cruickshank passed away peacefully, at the Innisfail Health Centre, Innisfail, Alberta on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Don always had a love for farming, and in 1955, he purchased his farm. From that moment on, Don spent every day doing what he loved. He passed that love onto his oldest son, Bruce who carries on his legacy. Don will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Bruce, Karen (Dennis), Sharlene (John), Ryan and Jacky (Dave); his grandchildren Mitchell, Joshua (Koens), Keana, Jordan and Wyatt (Fraser), Jessica, David, Christopher, Kurtis, Tysen and Melissa (Humes), and his great grandchild, Liam. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Phyllis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Don was predeceased by his wife of forty-seven years, Myrna, his parents, James and Elizabeth, a brother, James ‘Bob’ and his sisters, Marg, Isabel and Doris numerous brothers and sisters in laws and dear friends. A Public Graveside Service for Don will be held at the Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Tea will follow at the Pioneer Lodge, 4324 – 46A Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta at 2:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Don’s honor may be made to a Charity of the Donor’s choice. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com.
