In loving memory of Donald C. Sweet who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, in his seventy-seventh year.
Predeceased by his wife Barbara Krogman, parents Archie and Francis Sweet, Brother Ron (Wanda). Survived by his brother Earl (Joan) and sister Sharon (Don) and his loving children: Kevin, Annette, Janette (Jim), Lisa (Terry), Terry (Barb), Kate (Paul) and Jonathon (Corinna). Loving grandfather to Allan (Nikki), Kyle (Chrissy), Troy (Deidra), Reyjanne, Brealynne, Nikolas, Kateshia, Brayden (Demica), Lyric and Tuesday. Also remembered by his six great-grandchildren Colin, Elizabeth, Alex, Riley, Paisley, Andrea, Preston, Atticus, Gideon. And longstanding euchre partner and then some, Al, along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Donald, (Don) grew up in Napanee, and as early as he could walk–worked, and worked hard. He started tinkering with cars, and labouring in horse stables, and later at the Napanee Brick and Tile followed by many years in construction as a Liuna Union Local 247 member. He worked and retired from David J Cupido Construction Ltd. approximately ten years ago. He and his wife Barb travelled and enjoyed many family gatherings. Yet still managed dropping in for coffee at work with the guys. We know he is now at peace enjoying a waltz with his loving wife, Barb. No more work Dad! Rest easy.
Please join us for a drive-by viewing from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Wartman Funeral Home, Kingston Chapel, 980 Collins Bay Road on Saturday, May 29, 2021. Followed by a private graveside service at Moscow Cemetery. Aquamation has already taken place.
