with family by his side, the passing of Dennis Nicholas Clory age 79
of Georgetown, beloved partner to Peggy King, occurred at the Kings
County Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 23, 2021. Born in New

Sarah (MacLellan) Clory. He is survived by children, Jamie (Lisa
Fleming) Clory, Denise (Robert) LaVie, Sarah Jane (Cory Chaisson)
Clory; Barb, mother of his children; sister, Dianne Kay;

Clory numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Joseph,

Dennis loved
life, loved his family, and loved spending time with friends. He was a
hard worker and enjoyed many years working at the Georgetown Shipyard
and East Isle Shipyard. He never thought of his time there as work. It
was a bonus, his coworkers were his friends. After his time there, he
worked with Frank Brothers running the boom truck. He had
great respect for Frank as an employer and a
friend.
Dennis was known for being a
prankster. The stories are legendary of the jokes he played on friends
and anyone who left the door open. He was always looking for the next
opportunity to pull a fast one.
He was a great
lover of sports both as a player and a coach. He coached the
Georgetown Eagles for many years, which brought him some proud
championships! He played for the Murray Harbour Bruins when hockey was
a rivalry and the whole town would be at the games to support the
team. His players loved playing for Dennis and have expressed their
gratitude for him as a coach. He was known to coach to win and come in
with a stacked team. Many would say that those years of playing for
him were the highlight of their time playing hockey!
He was always doing for others. He would give the shirt
off his back to anyone in need. He looked after his friends and
family. Although he was a man of few words, you always knew where you
stood with him. He loved his kids and grandchildren and was always
there to help them whenever they needed anything.
Dennis
spent his life with his cherished partner Peggy King. They loved each
other dearly, always there for each other through the good times and
the hard times. Dennis was loved greatly by Peggy‘s family.
He was always there when they needed him regardless of when or where.
He loved attending the many King get-togethers when he could share tea
and a story. Dennis and Peggy shared a lifetime of love and happiness
that will forever be remembered and treasured.
Dennis
fought the good fight! He coached his last game! He’s
without any pain! God rest until we see you
again!
