Denis Gallant
1965-2021
SAINT-CHARLES, NB – It is with great sadness that
the family announces the sudden passing, after a brief illness, of
Denis Gallant, 55, of Saint-Charles at the Stella Maris de Kent
hospital on Tuesday, August 17th, 2021. Born in
Moncton, Denis was fostered and raised by the late Exubé
and Lorraine (Blanchard) Robichaud. Denis worked for many years as a
clerk for Deware/Foodland and more recently as a Sheet Metal Worker
for Imperial Sheet Metal
Denis was a very active and involved member of the Knights of
Columbus, Counsel 7128, Saint-Charles. Denis had a big heart and was
very devoted in helping anyone in need; he was the type of person that
couldn’t say no to anyone.
Denis leaves to mourn the members of his foster family: two
sisters, Rina Babineau (Jean-Guy) of Saint John and Jeannita Doiron
(Marcel) of Sainte-Marie; four brothers, Gilles Robichaud
(Cécile Daigle) of Saint-Charles, Claude Robichaud
(Murielle) of Saint-Charles, Zoel Robichaud (Denise Thibodeau) of
Moncton and Roger Robichaud (Denise) of Saint-Charles; his
sister-in-law, Madeleine Steevers of Saint-Louis; as well as his many
nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his foster parents, Denis was predeceased by his
foster brother, Paul Robichaud.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to
the members of the RCMP, Ambulance NB and the staff at the
Stella-Maris-de-Kent hospital for their assistance in helping
Denis.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home,
Richibucto on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Monday from 9:00 am
until time of funeral. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday,
August 23rd, 2021 at 11:00 am, St.
Charles-Borromée Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Charles. If
so desired, donations in Denis’ memory may be made to the
Heart & Stroke Foundation of NB
(www.heartandstroke.ca), to the
St.-Charles-Borromée parish cemetery or to a charity of
choice.
