Obituary of Deaney Ferraro
Deaney Ferraro peacefully passed away at University Hospital on December 14, 2021, in her 57th year. Beloved daughter of Theresa Ferraro (nee Guichelaar) and the late Adolfo Ferraro. She is survived by siblings Patrick Ferraro, Caroline Hutchison (Wilbur), Adriana Katsilieris (Frank) and Theresa Kehoe (Steven). Proud aunt of Cristiano, Theresa and Michael Hutchison, Dimitris and Isabella Katsilieris and Jack, Liam and Katherine Kehoe. Deaney will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends in Canada, Italy, and Holland. Born with Downs Syndrome, Deaney lived an amazing life. She loved swimming and soccer and won many awards while participating in Special Olympics. She attended Montessori school, worked at Community Living London – Plastic Packaging, and spent her remaining work life at Angelo’s Bakery with her family. She enjoyed crocheting and watching her favourite hockey team the Toronto Maple Leafs. Deaney was well cared for by her mother who became her full-time caregiver in the final years of her life. She was a blessing to her family in many ways. She will be dearly missed and always remembered as our special angel. Funeral mass will be held at St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, on Tuesday December 21st at 11 o’clock. As per the family’s request all attendees must be double vaccinated. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Trillium Gift of Life Network would be greatly appreciated by the family. Family would like to thank the LHSC University Hospital staff and physicians including Dr. Tina Mele, Dr. Karen Bosma and Dr. Ahmed Hegazy for their care and compassion of Deaney.
