Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the Western Palliative Care Unit surrounded by his loving family, David Arthur Park at the age of 79 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Tammy (Darren) Park, Jenny (Brent) Payne and Lori (Eugene) Brown; step-daughter Betty Best (Bill Park); companion Theresa Lavigne; grandchildren: Robert (Kayla), Marvin (Camille), Brandon, Robin (Nils), Tia (Alex), Kyle (Angie), Aamirah and Shelly (Jamie); great-grandchildren: Damian, Jacqueline, James and Soren; sisters: Shirley Payne and Ethel Park; brother Russell (Louise) Park; sisters-in-law: Julie Osbourne and Lillian Abbott; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Hilda Park, parents Emily and Harold Park, grandson Jamie Park, son-in-law Sonny Best, brother William Joyce, sisters Evelyn Piercey, Ada Crane and Mavis Park, parents-in-law Ann and Norman Park, brothers and sisters-in-law Eugene Park, Cyril Payne, George Crane, Jean Park, Geraldine (Walter) Cox, Raymond (Annie) Park, Alfred Park, Utley Park, Ralph Abbott and Scott Osbourne. A very special thank you to his homecare worker Joan Park and Kayla Park, special nurse Kaye Richards and the nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit for their care and compassion. A private family visitation will be held at St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove. A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Deacon Terry Loder officiating. Funeral service will be by invitation only. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Cox’s Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
