It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dave Slade announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Friday September 17th 2021 at the age of 66 years. Leaving to mourn with precious memories his wife of ten years, Karen, his son Jeremy in Fort McMurray, his daughter Corrine Slade in Stephenville, step son Craig (Vanessa) Conran in Paradise, his grandchildren Zachary White, Serena Slade, Eric and Olivia Conran. Also leaving to mourn his brother Keith (Carolyn) Slade in Blind Bay ,B.C. , his sisters Linda ( Terry) Hanlon in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Cassandra Slade in Fort McMurray, Cathy Slade , Rosemary (Calvin) Howse all in Stephenville, his best friend Craig Benoit and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Dave was predeceased by his parents William and Isabel Slade and by his brothers Charles Slade and baby Joseph Slade. Dave had a big presence in this town and was well known for his thirty plus years with Eddy’s Services and spent much time putting smiles on children’s faces as he played Santa for many years. He will be missed and never forgotten by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will take place from Russell’s Funeral Home on Tuesday September 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 . The funeral service will take place from Zion Pentecostal Church on Wednesday September 22nd at 2P.M.
