Darrin’s Obituary
PIERCE, Darrin Wade – 53, of Barrington, passed away at the QEII Health Science Centre, Halifax Infirmary, on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Born at Toronto, Ontario, on April 21, 1968, he was a son of Edgar and Lorraine (Davis) Pierce. Darrin attended Barrington Municipal High School, went fishing off Georges Bank for a few years and then worked at Passage Print & Litho LTD for the last 20 years. He installed boat graphics in his spare time. He loved boat racing and building engines for cars and boats. His pride and joy was his red 1972 Buick Skylark, which he worked on constantly and entered in car shows. Darrin is survived by his parents, Edgar (Lorraine) Pierce; brother, Edgar Wayne (Valerie) Pierce; nephew, Nathan Pierce (Sky Jones); niece, Robin Goodie (Chris) and Baby Goodie; girlfriend, Ronna Goodwin; special little friend, Emma; uncle, Archie (Lorraine) Pierce; aunt, Betty (Buster) Bower; uncle, Gerald Matthews; great-aunt, Shirley Broughm; and many more cousins, nephews, nieces, and many friends. There will be a visitation held on Saturday, from 7-9 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, where the memorial service will follow on Sunday, September 26, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Shaun Hatfield officiating. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend. It has been requested there be family flowers only.
