Darrin’s Obituary
It is with sadness, Darrin’s family announce his passing at home on Sunday, September 26th at the age of 55. Loving father of Mickey Crocker and Jodi Trask (Jeremy). Proud grandfather of Wesley, Michael and Sophia. Son of James Crocker and the late Dorothy Hillier (Hann). Darrin will be forever remembered and loved by his siblings; Bernetta Mullen (Johnny), Rosemary Crocker (Jeff), Darryl Barnes (his “brother from another mother”) and Dwayne Crocker. Darrin had a special bond with each of his nieces and nephews; Jessica and Belle Crocker, Cole, Lina, Joshua, Vincent, Ricky (Liv) and Aydan Mullen, Mary (William) Hughes and Elijah Crocker, his aunts; Eudora Barnes (Ward) and Tammy Hann (Roger), his cousin Brandon and his uncle Egdar Hann (Marilyn) and Andrianna Rocha. Darrin will also be missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins in Newfoundland.
Darrin was larger than life with a heart even larger. Darrin was also a good friend with many special relationships. He preferred to live simple and his love was his family, his kids and grandchildren. When Uncle D came around anything went. All the kids loved “Uncle D”. His music, his guitar, his sense of humor, he taught a few of them to drive, how to play guitar, how to harmonize. He loved swimming, fishing and woodworking and his Newfie roots.
Darrin will be especially missed by his special friend Jeannie Randall, lifelong friend Johnny Thomsen and Darryl Barnes and many friends that he made over his 30 plus years at Lablaws.
Visitation will take place at The salvation Army Church in Trout River on Thursday October 7th, 2021 from the hours of 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, also where the funeral service will take place on Friday October 8th, 2021 at 2 pm. with Sandra Pinksen officiating. Interment will follow at the Salvation Cemetery in Trout River. In memory of Darrin, donations can be made to the House of Friendship by calling 1=519=623-1290. Please keep the current covid-19 regulations in mind during visitation, masks are mandatory at all times during visitation.
