Darrell MacCaull
1945-2021
Darrell MacCaull, of
Moncton, passed away on October 25, 2021 at the Moncton Hospital with
his wife of over 52 years, Grace, by his side following a battle with
liver disease.
Darrell was born in
St. Stephen, NB on Dec 13, 1945. At the age of 6 he went to
live with his foster parents, the late Bill and Hazel
Jamieson. He considered himself a brother to their children
William (Bud) Jamieson (Mary), Norma (Jamieson) Vincent
(Lorne). Both of whom predeceased him.
Darrell was a very
proud uncle to Errol (Mabel) Jamieson, Wendy (David) Bell, Shelley
(Gary) Gallant, Miriam (Frank) Carrier, Jill (Jerome) MacLean, and
Kerry (Jane) Vincent. He was predeceased by his nephew Kim
Vincent.
Darrell was a mechanic
by trade and worked in several businesses over the years, he always
said he’d worked on everything from « lawn mowers to
choo choo trains ». After leaving CN as a machinist he
spent 15 years employed as a custodian at NBCC Moncton. He
ended his working life at Home Depot in the rentals
department. He was a member of the Journey Church.
He served as president of the Monteagle Cemetery for 2 years until his
health failed. Darrell was a member of Coverdale Masonic
Lodge #52 F&AM and was a Past Master of Salisbury Lodge #20
F&AM and was also a member of chapter.
Darrell is survived by
his wife of 52 years, Grace (Lounsbury), sons Mark (Wendy) of North
Carolina & Luke (Heidi) of Riverview, and three beautiful
granddaughters Alycia, Katelyn & Shelby, mother Dorothy
MacCaull, siblings David (Pauline) Smith, Sharon (Pierre) Picard and
Darlene (Peter) Mitchell. Sister in Law Donna Lounsbury, Brother in
law Kenneth (Mamie) Lounsbury. Nieces Lana, Lynn &
Faye, Nephews Aaron, Jeremy, Martin, Warren, Sterling and Matthew.
Darrell was also predeceased by two brothers Drew and
Allison.
The family will be
receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and
Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007) on Friday,
November 12, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A service to celebrate and
give thanks for his life will take place at The Journey Church
(Allison Campus), 1539 Salisbury Road, Moncton on Saturday, November
13, 2021 at 11:00am. For those who wish to attend either
events, please remember to bring proof of double vaccination,
provincial identification and have your face mask.
