74 years strong on April 1, 2021, our beloved husband, father and nonno departed this world in a tragic aviation accident; doing what he was most passionate about, flying his airplane.
A self-made businessman, he built his companies from ground up with a never-ending thirst for knowledge. Dario was always looking for new ways to challenge himself and never turned down an opportunity for success. He was a brave, courageous, kindhearted loving and generous family man who is now being laid to rest. His presence and personality to all he knew was greater than life itself.
He was our hero, our leader and our protector. We looked up to him, admired him, bragged about him and laughed with him. We will forever hold onto his courage, strength, drive and wisdom that he shared with each and every one of us. To say we love him is an understatement. A dignified soul that brought joy and fulfilment to many lives and whose legacy will live on forever. May your soul now rest in peace. Until we meet again.
Beloved husband of Marina for 10 years, and predeceased by his wife Giovina « Nella » (Dec. 31, 2008). Loving father of 4 children and 15 grandchildren: Dino (Bianca) Facchinato with Alex, Alissa, Daria, and Sofia; Nensi Facchinato with Vanessa, James Jr., Luke and Vince; Christina (Riley) Singleton with Ryla and Gianna; and Tania (Dalmas Jr) Lynch with Tianna, Dalmas III, Jalen, Deja, and Donte. Also survived by his mother-in-law Maria DiGiacomo and brother-in-law Steve (Joan) DiGiacomo and their son Matthew. Predeceased by brothers Eddo and Franco (Angelina). Special uncle of Fabio, Nikola, Simone, David, Cynthia and Johnny. Also survived by cousins, nephews and friends throughout the world.
If you so desire, donations to the Windsor & Es County Cancer Centre Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
