Daniel (Danny) Kaufman
Suddenly, on Sunday, May 9, 2021. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Deegan) Osgood. Dear brother of Lynne McGiffert, Jimmy Kaufman, the late Richard Kaufman; and brother-in-law of Brendan and Katie Deegan. Son of the late Sheila and the late David Kaufman. Danny will be sadly mourned by Kathleen’s children, Kalea Osgood and Stacey Lefort, and Ryan Osgood; and by her grandchildren, Hannah and William Wienand. Dear uncle of Sandy Hawkins, Nancy Hillis; Alfee Kaufman and Geoffrey Garbarino, Jesse Kaufman and Jenn Stein. Great-uncle of Zoe and Sasha Hawkins; Madalyn and Sydney Hillis; Asher and Ella Garbarino. Special cousin of Leigh Bacal. A private graveside service to take place. The most loving man, non judgemental, always seeing the real, real good in everyone he met.
The love of Dan’s life is Kathleen. And with Kathleen, they brought each other into a growing and hugging family life.
To be rich is to have family.
To love, to be loved, to be appreciated and to appreciate, and to be respected and to respect are all the riches Danny always enjoyed with his family.
On Danny’s last day, as in all his days, he lived it as a rich man. It was Mothers Day, and Danny shone with happiness in the company of his grandchildren and family. In this day with his grandchildren and family he is the proud grandfather and there was nothing in life that gave Danny that level of happiness.
But to Dan, there was one thing, and one thing only, that came in second. Golf.
After enjoying the wonderful hours of Mother’s Day with grandchildren and family, Dan took himself to the golf club. For sure he loved it. For sure he hated it lol, and for sure it was his passion. Hitting balls off the driving range, after enjoying those previous hours of time with grandchildren and family, after all this beautiful day, full of joy joy joy, Dan passed.
Under the beautiful blue sky, with the soft soft grass at his feet.
What a way to go. And now you’ve just experienced pretty well, every day of Dan’s life.
“Rest in Peace dear brother. I laughed with you till I cramped up. We’d look at each other for a second hoping to stop laughing ….. at nothing lol but we’d make each other laugh even more.
I love you bro. I’m crying.
Give me a great hug bro …… you are the king hugger.”
Such a loss for all those, that knew Danny. Generous to family, friends, and community.
This generosity comes from his heart and his empathy.
