ROSE, Clifford – Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday,
October 17, 2021 at the age of 79.
Beloved husband of Barbara Rose (nee Bond).
Loving father of Kim (Cabot), Lori (Doug), Charlene (Steve), Scott (Tara) and Jen
(Adrien).
Cherished grandfather of Bruce (Emily), Eddie, Felicia (Sean), Clifford (Brooke),
Victoria (Jeff), Jason, Dayton and Keaton.
Great-grandfather of Summer, MacKenzie, Ella, Oaklyn and Claire.
Clifford was predeceased by his parents Nelson and Agnes Rose, brother Edward and
sister Noreen.
Clifford drove bus for Cambridge Transit for 27 years, and served as president of the
local chapter of The Amalgamated Transit Union for several of those years. He enjoyed
traveling with his wife, hitting the road for a drive in the country, traveling to visit his
daughters on the west coast, and vacationing with his wife and adult children, exploring
Canada and beyond. As a young man, he enjoyed music, playing the accordion, hunting
and fishing, playing hockey, and water skiing at Puslinch Lake. He was a devoted father
and grandfather, always enjoying visits with his children, and spending time with his
grand kids. Cliff and Barb started downhill skiing and enjoyed that into their 70’s. They
learned to ski at Chicopee, but progressed to enjoy places like Mammoth Lakes, Ca and
Killington, Vt. Cliff was a talented carpenter, built is own boat and was always a willing
participant in home renos and projects. He was always happy to see people, cheerful and
friendly, and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
At Clifford’s request cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place
at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or
the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
