It is with heavy hearts that the family of Clare Hamelin announces his sudden passing on September 24, 2021. Beloved husband and best friend of Bonnie (nee Deslippe). Cherished father of Tina, Candice Couvillion (Rene) and Shawn (Melissa). Loving Papa of Brody, Paityn, Quinn, Brock and Brynlee. Beloved son of the late Lawrence and Theresa Hamelin. Dearest brother of Lorenzo (1990), Michael (1969), Lawrence Jr. “Ginger” (2018) (Analda), Tom (2021) (Pat), Margaret (Rick) Laframboise, Elizabeth, Joan (Jim 2020) Parcher, Jean (Luc) Albertini, Paul (Gail), Solange (Kelly 2013) Price. Brother-in-law of Brenda (Paul) Beneteau, Rick (Janice) Deslippe, Donald Deslippe, Connie Deslippe (Wayne Pouget) and the late Joyce (Dave) Coulter, William Deslippe. Clare will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Clare retired from Chryslers after 31 years of dedicated service. He was an avid and active hockey player and card player. If you so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor and Es County.
On Wednesday September 29, 2021 reservations and personal face coverings are required to attend visitation from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Families First, 585 Sandwich St. South Amherstburg, 519-969-5841. On Thursday September 30, 2021 reservations and personal face covering are required to attend the funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Church (225 Brock St. Amherstburg) at 11:00a.m. Guests are requested to meet directly at the church for Mass. You can reserve your time for visitation or seat for Mass at FamiliesFirst.ca (RSVP) or by calling directly. (Please note due to COVID 19 regulations attendance for cemetery services may be limited).
