Obituary of Christina May Bradley Dodd
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Christina May (nee Gullage) Bradley Dodd announce her passing on December 6th, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 28th, 1947, in Saint John, New Brunswick to the late James Kane and Dora (nee Greer) Gullage.
Christina enjoyed being a school bus driver for some time before she became a Medical Attendant at the Saint John Ship Building. Before retiring, at the age of 69, she worked as a PSW at the Saint John Regional Hospital for 11 years.
An active member of her church – Garnett Settlement Christian Church – Christina was a member of the ladies’ guild. Christina loved to play crib or 45’s, enjoyed her day trips with Mary, Bev and Rhoda; and was a member of the Seniors Bowling League. Her greatest joy in life was her family.
Christina is survived by her loving children Crystal, George (Barb), and James (Heather); adored grandchildren Joshua, Alicia, Heidi, Daniel (Melissa), Nicholas, David, and Emma; great-grandchildren Gabby, Bradley, Aubree-Lynn, Kaiden, and Kaiser; and siblings Hubert, Velma, and Marilyn (Larry). Christina is predeceased by loving husband James Melbourne Bradley; sisters, Doris, and Eileen; brothers Gordon and Leslie; and her second husband Albert Dodd.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A visitation for Christina will be Thursday, December 9th, 2021, 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 10th, 2021, at 11:00AM at the Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel (111 Paradise Row) with the burial directly following at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Due to Covid-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all those 12 and older attending the service will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of government-issued ID or proof of medical exemption. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer’s Society, Garnett Settlement Christian Church, or donors’ choice.
