Celia Anne Marie Giovannini
May 22, 1955 – June 06, 2021
Celia Anne Marie Giovannini (CeAnne and Celie to most) came into this world on May 22, 1955 in St. Lawrence, NL. The last of nine children CeAnne hit the ground running and never stopped. Whether it was in the garden, along Shoal Cove beach, on the soccer fields or through the halls of the many hospitals she worked in, CeAnne always had energy to spare.
She was motivated, and guided, by her enormous heart and her love for family and friends. There was literally nothing she would not do for either. And did it she did. Every single person touched by CeAnne’s love and generosity will attest to this.
CeAnne was multi-talented. A St. Clares Nurse, CeAnne was an extraordinary RN and co-worker. She truly loved being a nurse and part of talented and compassionate teams.
As a production manager & graphic designer, she taught these skills where she learned them, at Ryerson University. Over the years she steered and executed quite literally thousands of projects – both professional & personal – through to exquisite perfection.
As a woman who loved to work with wood, and had a knack for all things carpentry, paint and ‘please fix what Meg broke’ related, there is a long line of people and places that benefitted from her generous talents.
CeAnne always did the right thing. Her integrity was beyond reproach. Her mantra was ‘do the right thing, especially when no one is looking’. And that is exactly how she lived her life.
This extraordinary daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, wife, fur-mom, friend and co-worker was a force a nature. She was inclusive in her actions all the time. It is for all of these, and so many more reasons, that it makes saying good-bye to CeAnne so difficult. But say it we must – until we meet again. We can say with certainty that CeAnne is truly at peace. And for this we are grateful.
