Obituary of Carrie Mae Arsenault
Passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Smiths Falls Hospital on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the age of 83. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Fred Arsenault. Loving and devoted mother of Sheila (Robert) Coutts, Michael (Laura) Arsenault and the late David Arsenault. Cherished grandmother of J.C. (Heather) Coutts and Sean Coutts and Natosha (Andrew) Ilg, Andre Arsenault, Joshua Arsenault, Noah Arsenault, and the late Sheldon Tulloch. Proud great-grandmother of Bentley Ilg. She is survived by her siblings, Mildred Canning, Metta Kennedy, Hubert (Dorcas) Cassell, and Harriett (Robert) Parsons as well as her sister-in-law Phyllis Cassell, and many nieces and nephews. Carrie was proud to be born and raised in Newfoundland, and then became a long time citizen of Smiths Falls, and was hard working while caring for her family. She resided at Broadview Nursing Centre for the past 4 years, where she was given the support and safety she needed at that time in her life. Due to current Covid 19 restrictions, there will be a private family service for Carrie at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls, followed by an interment at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation. Click here to donate.
