Passed away peacefully at Chartwell Gardens, Parkill on Sunday, October 17, 2021, her 97th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Caidler (1978). Cherished mother of Joe Caidler and his partner Mary, the late John Caidler (1985), and George and Cheryl Caidler. Proud grandma of Jeff Caidler, Joe Caidler Jr., Jennifer Gerspacher, and John Caidler. Adored great-grandma of 6.
Our Mother, she was caring, loving, and kind. She was a very generous woman who would sacrifice things she could have had, so we didn’t have to struggle. She was a survivor and a very strong woman. She survived the second World War, after being separated from her family as a prisoner of the war and not seeing her surviving brother and sisters for 40 years. Mom survived after losing her husband at an early age, and her son not long after. She survived being isolated in a nursing home during the pandemic. She came to Canada with my father and 2 brothers and both of them worked long hours so they could buy a farm. Mom was hoeing sugar beets the morning I was born. She passed away on her 97th birthday holding my hand. We all loved her very much and will miss her immensely. Mom is gone, but never forgotten.
