Bruce had two incredible gifts – a passion for mechanics and his renowned sense of humour. He was the second oldest of 10 children and was born and raised in Edmonton. Bruce spent many hours at Lac La Nonne during his childhood and young adulthood, helping his dad build a family cabin. He and his father also enjoyed time together building a sailboat.
Cars and mechanics were always a big part of Bruce’s life. He was the proud owner/operator of a few transmission shops. He built racing transmissions for the Edmonton Police Services, the RCMP, and many patrons of Speedway and local racetracks.
Bruce loved spending time with family and especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed nature and took many pictures of the wildlife on his acreage. He loved camping with family in British Columbia. Bruce was able to travel later in life and loved his trips to Australia.
Bruce will be sadly missed and always remembered by all his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bruce’s name to Autism Speaks.
A Funeral Service will be held at Connelly-McKinley’s St. Albert Chapel on Saturday, October 23 at 10:00.
