Brian’s Obituary
Brian, also known as Bull, passed away unexpectedly in Saskatoon, SK, on February 20, 2021, at the age of 50 years.
Brian was born June 29, 1970, in Brooks, AB.
He was predeceased by his parents, Peter Brass and Christina Papequash; his brother, Armond Papequash; nephews, Brandon Kaiswatum and Kalum Papequash; niece, Josie Papequash; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Kaiswatum and Garner Kaiswatum; and many aunts and uncles, too numerous to mention.
He is survived by his daughters, Winona and Janae Mahingen; his grandson, Kylo McAdam, who was his pride and joy; and sisters and brothers: Delvina, Delvine (Vernon) Charlene, Carl (Nicole) Angeline (Jason), Peter (Christine), Charlie (Rose) and Rene (Greg); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends. An honourable mention of his cousins and friends, Marvin, Peter, Sheldon, and Dylan, who Brian considered as brothers. The family would also like to send a special thank you and acknowledgement to Larry Tymchak, who Brian thought of as a fatherly figure and always spoke highly about.
Brian always took great pride in his work at the Sherbrook Community Centre, where he was employed for many years. He always had a kind heart towards the residents of the home and always saw his work as a second home.
Brian was not just the rock of the family – he was the mountain; He will be deeply missed by many.
A Wake Service will begin at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2021 and the Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 26, 2021, both from the Saulteaux Plex Hall, Key First Nation, SK, with Roxane Brass, as certified celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church Cemetery.
