TAYLOR, Brian Michael –
Brian Michael Taylor passed away suddenly at the age of 66 at Etobicoke General Hospital on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Brian was born in Kitchener, Ontario in 1955, the oldest child of Dennis and Audrey Taylor, brother to Bruce (Linda) and Kevin, brother-in-law to Marion, cousin to Maureen (Gary, Connor, and Spencer) and cousin to Elise.
Brian met his wife Claudia in the mid-1970s, who knew the first time she met Brian that she wanted to marry him. They were married in 1977, and during their 40+ years of marriage they travelled throughout Europe, the Hawaiian islands, the Caribbean, Canada and the United States.
Brian and Claudia had two children, Lindsay (Matthew) and Ryan, who were their pride and joy. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. His children have fond memories of trips to the Royal Ontario Museum, the planetarium and summers at the cottage where he took them on hiking and canoe trips. Brian took great joy in taking his family on a cruise and loved sneaking off with Lindsay and Ryan to snack on cookies from the buffet.
Brian also enjoyed sports and was an assistant coach to Ryan’s baseball and basketball teams. He took his children to many Toronto Argonauts and Ottawa RedBlacks games, including attending the 2017 CFL Grey Cup where the Argonauts won.
Brian was an unabashed animal lover. Cleo, Tiley, Riley and Bailey were dogs that he loved immensely. He enjoyed training them and loved taking them for long walks along the Humber River trail.
He enjoyed good food, good wine and good company, and his enthusiasm for life carried over into the lives of his children, family and friends.
We will miss him dearly and he will live forever in our hearts. Till we meet again.
Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Wildlife Federation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences at newediukfuneralhome.com
