Bree Hailey Rasmussen
Bree Hailey Rasmussen known to family as Bree-Hailey and a member of Horse Lake First Nation, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 6, 2021, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 23 years.
Born August 28, 1997, in Grande Prairie, to Kevin Horseman (Amanda) and Suzie Rasmussen (Trent).
A kind, and genuine loving daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend. Bree loved to spend time with her niece Lovelyn and the other numerous nieces and nephews. She was down to do the funniest and most adventurous things with the people she loved, from flipping in mud puddles, quarantine haircuts and random road trips. Bree was an outgoing person with a heart of gold, she lived a beautiful life doing everything she loved with the people that love her.
Bree will be sadly missed by her parents: Kevin Horseman (Amanda) and Suzie Rasmussen (Trent); siblings: Sylace Rasmussen (Tahlia), Ethan Rasmussen, Dennah Daychief, Kevin-Lee Daychief, Kale Daychief; grandparents: Doreen Horseman, Jim Horseman (Jessica), Alice Dafoe; aunts Ramona Horseman (Dwight), Denise Horseman (Joey), Allison Augot, Melinda L’Hirondelle; and uncle Chad Horseman (Cheryl); as well as her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was predeceased by her great-grandparents: Lee Laglace, Christine Horseman, and Mary Winiandy; sister Shea Horseman; uncles James Badger and Robert Rasmussen.
A Final farewell to our darling Bree-Hailey will take place at her residence in Horse Lake First Nation. A Wake will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at 6:00pm. Due to restrictions around Covid-19, the farewell for Bree-Hailey will take place outside. Final words, story sharing, going home songs, poem readings and feast on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 11:00am.
