Lorne Stuart Boyle
It is with extreme sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Lorne Boyle. Lorne was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Whether one knew him for years or minutes Lorne had an easy way of bringing people together, as a host and storyteller. His presence at any gathering was guaranteed to brighten the room. For friends and family Lorne was always the first person called whenever help was needed, whether it be as a confidant or handyman.
Lorne devoted his life to helping others, both in his professional and personal life. As an educator he specialized in teaching children with literacy challenges and was Vice Principal at Red Maple PS, EVS4 and Greensborough PS. He had also recently achieved his life dream of being shortlisted for Principal.
Lorne joins his father Charlie, less than a year after his passing, and is survived by his devoted mother Annette, loving wife and best friend Tamara, amazing kids Quinn and Camryn, as well his brothers Craig (Kathy) and Glenn (Veronica).
He had a genuine appreciation for music, from the age of 7 when he got his first drum kit his love of music evolved to a lifetime of passion spending many wonderful hours making music professionally and for his own enjoyment. Progressing from heavy rock to light rock to becoming a top 40 band for all to enjoy.
Cottage time was an essential part of his being, witnessed by the many trips to Coe Island Lake. He was the central part of making sure everyone was having a good time even if it meant he was stringing fishing line while setting up a campfire and getting the boat ready for a cruise around the lake. His excitement while being at the cottage was infectious that you could not help having a great time.
As a proud father Lorne would beam as he watched Quinn playing hockey or Camryn on stage at a dance competition. His dedication to his kids was boundless, and shown by building the backyard ice rink for the last 12 years (usually flooding in his rubber boots and boxer shorts even in the dead of winter) and constructing a dance and exercise studio in the basement to encourage them to follow their dreams.
He will be greatly missed by his entire family and his many friends!
