Obituary for
Bohdan Volodymyr Tataryn
1919-2021
Bohdan Volodymyr Tataryn ascended from this earth to a loving, joyful, peaceful and more evolved place on October 15, 2021.
His spirit touched many people, through his students in the Thorhild High School where he taught mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology and Ukrainian language. He was an avid reader, was active in the church and community and had a passion for the family farm. He had a wonderful tenor voice and a good ear for music even to his elder years when he helped his granddaughter tune her ukulele.
He leaves to mourn his children, Ivanna Viola, Donna Nadine (Sami Youssef), Dennis Bohdan (Maria) and David Andrew John; and grandchildren, Samantha Youssef, Tara Youssef, Alexis Youssef and Marena Katherine Tataryn.
Prayer service on Thursday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Rite on Friday, October 22 at 9:30 a.m. at St. John’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 10951 – 107 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5H 1H7.
