Obituary of Bob Pritchard
Pritchard: Robert Charles “Bob”
Peacefully at the Kingston Health Sciences centre on Wednesday January 13, 2021 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Born and raised in Gananoque, he attended St. John’s Catholic school. Bob was employed and retired from Collins and Aikman (formerly Ontario Steel Products) in the shipping department. He is survived by Lynn, his loving wife of 54 years; children Jennifer (Steve McAvoy), Chris (Karen) and special granddaughter Chelsea. Also survived by Ben (late Ruth), Jim (Glenda), Pat Donald (Bud), Sylvia Cunningham (Bill) and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents Ernie and Agnes (nee Beaubiah), a son Paul 2 brothers Thomas and Bill and 1 sister Mary. Bob enjoyed watching his New York Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays in his later years. He was an avid ice fisherman, a big fan of harness horse racing and most sporting events. When Bob and Lynn moved to Kingston he became V.P. of the Timmy’s coffee club on Hwy 15 and enjoyed getting together with Wayne, Doug, Howard and Ted. His sense of Humour will be missed by all. A thank you is extended to all nurses and Drs. at the KGH Oncology Department, and a special thank you to Dr. Arawn Therrien for all her compassion and kindness. Due to Covid-19 Restrictions, a private family Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Kingston, with committal prayers following at St. John’s cemetery, Gananoque. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the UHKF Cancer Centre or to St. Mary’s Cathedral Restoration Fund would be appreciated by the family.
