Peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Monday, December 6, 2021, Betty Stewart (nee Beckstead) of Morewood, age 86. Beloved wife of the late Ken Stewart. Loving mother of David (Greta) of Winchester, Larry (Elizabeth) of Morewood, Perry (Joanne) of Carp, Jeff (Donna) of Round Lake, John of Morewood and Holly Hebert (Jack) of Chesterville. Dear sister of Anna Stacey (Perry) of Iroquois. Dear mother-in-law of Dennis Carkner of Winchester. She was predeceased by her daughter Kathy Carkner. Betty will be fondly remembered by 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her special friend Marlene Weegar and her nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
Friends may call at the Morewood Presbyterian Church on Monday, December 13th from 10 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Interment of cremated remains will be at Morewood Presbyterian cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Chesterville Legion. Double vaccinations are required to attend the visitation, service and luncheon.
