Obituary of Bernie Chisholm
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Stewart Bernard (Bernie) Chisholm on May 12, 2020. Bernie was born on October 23, 1946 to the late Archie and Mamie (Stewart) Chisholm of Glen Road, Antigonish Co. Bernie lived most of his life at Emerald Hall, Dartmouth; later, he enjoyed life at a group home on Abbot Dr., Halifax and more recently, as a resident at Sagewood Continuing Care facility, Lower Sackville, NS. Bernie had a special charm that created a unique bond with everyone he met. We will be forever grateful to all the caregivers for their excellent and loving care he received throughout his life. Bernie is survived by his brothers; Vaughan (Elaine) Antigonish, Robert (Margie) Ontario, Ronnie (Patti), Belnan, brother-in-law John Henderson, Pictou. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters Mary Rose Henderson and Donna Marie in infancy. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday, September 25, 2021 in St. Joseph’s Church, St. Joseph’s, Rev. John Barry presiding. Covid-19 protocols will be in place with limited seating available.
