Peacefully, surrounded by loving family at Vision Nursing Home on Monday, December 27, 2021, Bernadette Cecilia Hudson passed away at the age of 75. Loving mother of Leeanne Hudson (Ken Riedl) and Michelle (Shane) Ferneyhough. Cherished Nanny of Alyssa, Ethan and Garrison. Dear sister of the late Mary (Duncan) MacLellan, Catherine (late Charlie) Craig, Sally (Tom) Peters and Anne (late Sam) Marra. Missed by several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Predeceased by her parents Dougald and Florence Campbell.
Bernadette was born, raised and lived in Nova Scotia most of her life. She was dedicated to her career as an LPN at the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville, NS. Bernadette was very proud of her work in the mental health field. As a mom, aunt and friend, Bernadette had a quiet yet strong presence. She will be remembered for her loving and gentle nature.
A special thank you to Vision Nursing Home for their care and compassion, for making sure Bernadette always had a beautiful scarf on, and for honouring who she was.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bernadette’s life will be held at a later date in Nova Scotia.
