Barker, Kelly Sue
November 23rd, 2021
June 9, 1961 – November 23, 2021
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kelly Barker of London. Kelly remained positive and brave through her illness and fought hard to stay, encouraging all of us to be strong with her.
Kelly was the much-loved daughter of Russell and Anne Barker, both deceased. She was also predeceased by her brother, Russell; his wife, Krisanne; and her brother, Richard. She missed them all very much.
Kelly loved her family above all else and she will be remembered with so much love by her sister, Judie (Rick) Havers of London and her brother, Barry (Tanya) Barker of Sarnia and her partner, Piet Blaauboer of Ailsa Craig. She was the best Mom ever to Emily Doran, London and Jeremy (Rachel) Doran, Toronto who loved her dearly. She was the beloved aunt of Matthew (Andria) Barker, Ottawa, Christopher (Jenn) Havers, Ottawa, Leslie Havers, Toronto, Russell (Meghan) Barker, Luduc, Alberta, Joshua (Kat) Barker, Sarnia, and Sarah Barker, Calgary, Alberta. She was the proud great-aunt of Sydney and Abigail Barker, Kitchener, and Wesley Barker, Sarnia. She will be lovingly remembered by Piet Jr., Josh, Jake and Hannah Blaauboer and the extended Blaauboer family. She will be forever missed by her dear friends, Rose, Bill, Tyler and Hailey Giles. Her absence will be sorely felt by all who knew and loved her.
Kelly was beautiful inside and out. She gave the best hugs and made her family and friends feel important and cherished. She loved being around people and lit up any room with her infectious smile and friendly personality. Kelly made each person she encountered feel special and wanted to make their day better. She genuinely cared about other people and had a kind word for everyone, from family and friends, to store clerks and servers, and went out of her way to make others feel happy and appreciated.
Kelly also had an amazing work ethic. She was committed to the practice and worked hard to ensure each client was satisfied and happy. She was admired and respected by her colleagues and her many clients. The family would like to thank Jeff Elliott and Kim Elliott for their support to Kelly during the time she worked with them and throughout her illness.
The family would like to thank Kelly’s caregivers at the London Regional Cancer Program who tried to find treatment options for her, and the Palliative Care Teams who supported her at home, especially nurse Joanne who was with us till the end.
Kelly was a kind, generous and loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be forever missed and remembered with love.
