We are celebrating the life of Barbara Humphreys-Hicks. She passed into the next life surrounded by family and close friends who loved and admired her.
Barbara lived a happy full life and still controlled her final moments. We as her flock are so very proud of her good humor and dignity right to the very end.
Barbara was married 57 years to Robert Humphreys (Bob), they were a loving devoted couple to whom she is excited to see again. She was also predeceased by her 2nd husband Harold Hicks who gave her 5 happy years.
She was proud of her children, son Martin and his wife Karen and her daughter Madeline. She loved her five grandchildren Paul (Debbie), Jason, Jeanette (Bob), Hillary (Vache) and Jeffrey (Robyn), and her seven great grandchildren Jacob, Dylan, Catherine, Skylar, Riley, Dillan and Lyall.
Many many thanks to Kimberly at Care Partners for her gentle kindness to our mother and to Dr. Alison Small who supported and guided our family through mom’s death. We are grateful.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Huntsville Hospital Foundation or Sick Kids Children’s Hospital, Toronto would be appreciated.
There is a gathering at home August 22nd from 2-4pm, remembrances will be shared at 2:30pm
