Barbara (Sauer) Flicka passed away peacefully March 8, 2021 at Hogarth Riverview Manor with members of her family by her bedside. Born in Tordinci Yugoslavia, November 26,1928, the daughter of Katherine and Martin Sauer. In 1951 she met and married George Flicka in Wels Austria. They moved to Canada and together had 6 children, 5 born in Canada and the oldest born in Austria in 1952.
Barbara enjoyed the outdoor, country life but especially her children and her vast gardens on Little Norway Road in South Neebing. She became a resident of Hogarth Riverview Manor in fall of 2018 and lived there for three years. She was loved and respected by all who knew her.
Barbara celebrated her 92 birthday in November. Predeceased by her son George and daughter Gertraud. Survived by her husband George, daughters Maria, Barbara, Brenda and Christine plus a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed and loved forever.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private visitation and funeral service will be held. Barbara will be laid to rest next to her son George at Mountainview Cemetery.
