Austin’s Obituary
Our hearts are broken by the sudden passing of the gentlest and kindest husband, father, poppy, brother, uncle and friend. Austin is predeceased by his father; Samuel Caines, Mother; Emma Caines nee House and father in law Douglas Collett.
He is leaving to mourn his best friend and wife, of 31 wonderful years; Jackie, his three sons, Jamie (Casey), Corey(Kellie), and Riley, and his three precious grandchildren Charleigh, Carter, and Teagan. He will also be lovingly remembered by his Mother in Law; Sonora Collett, and his Siblings, Nancy, Hebbert (Mabel), Kevin, and Betty (Bud), sisters-in-law, Vicky (Dennis), Janet (Kent), Sharon (Ross), and brother-in-law Dougie.
Also leaving fond memories are numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a large circle of family and friends.
Austin was a fisherman and guide since the age of 17. He also enjoyed spending his time in the woods, but his greatest joy in life was his family. His immense pride for his wife, children and grandchildren was written all over his face in any and all interactions with them. He loved and supported us and we will always be grateful for the many lessons he taught us. We wish we could have kept him with us longer and we will miss him everyday.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at St. Joseph’s Anglican Church in Portland Creek on Friday July 9th, from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm.
A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday July 10th, at the Anglican Church, Portland Creek at 2pm with Rev. Rose Officiating.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main St., Deer Lake NL. To sign the guest book and leave a message of condolence for the family we encourage you to visit our web page at www.parsonsfuneralhome.com
