It is always difficult to say good bye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say good bye to their beloved father, grandfather and friend – Augustus (Gus) Edward Parsley, age 81 from George’s Brook at the Dr. G.B.Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on September 29, 2021. Predeceased by his parents, Stephen and Margaret; wife, Lillian Joyce; grandson, Stephen Parsley; sister, Peggy Dyke; niece, Roberta Dyke and dear friend, Sheldon Berkshire. Leaving to mourn with the fondest memories are his children, Peggy (Chris Avery), Janet Parsley, Denise (Derek Ivany) and Lois (William Tilley); grandchildren, Melanie (Trevor), Amanda (Zack), Pansy (Brandon), Amy, Hillary, Danielle, Joey (Miranda) and Kristen (Jordan); great grandchildren, Jesse, Lily, Owen, Morgan, Christopher, Emily, Marianna; brother-in-law, Bill Dyke; extended Lethbridge and Clouter families as well as many other relatives and friends.
Resting at Central United Church, Elliott’s Cove on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 7-9 pm
Funeral service to take place on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2 pm with internment following at the Interdenominational Cemetery, George’s Brook.
