Obituary of Audrey Taylor
It is with broken hearts that the family of Audrey Mae Taylor (97) announce her passing on November 25, 2021, at Turnbull Nursing Home. Born on January 10, 1924, in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Alberta (Beckingham) and Harold Melvin.
Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her great-nephew, Kris Williams (Tara) and their children, Nathan and Corinne of Saint John; brother, Ronald (the late Alma) of Bathurst; sister, Vivian (the late Cliff) of St. Martins; niece, Elaine Northrup, Rothesay; special and dedicated cousin Ronald Beckingham; the Craig family; sister-in-law, Margaret Melvin Saint John N.B; as well as several nieces & nephews.
Audrey was a loving kind and special woman. She loved Christmas and enjoyed time spent with family. Audrey worked at Red Rose tea for 35 years retiring at age 55. After retirement, Audrey and Don enjoyed many winters in both Florida and Hawaii. They also enjoyed many trips to Scotland, which was Don’s homeland. They were devoted to each other and truly enjoyed life together during their 45+ year marriage.
In addition to her parents, Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Donald; brother, Donald (Maggie); sisters, Dorothy Forret (the late James), Elizabeth Craig (the late Chester), June Martin (the late Edgar) and Constance Hopey (the late Harry).
A graveside service will be held at a later date and details will be provided at that time.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of the Turnbull Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Audrey during her time there.
