AUDREY MARGARET PHILLIPS
July 23, 1923 – December 28, 2020
Peacefully at Hawthorn Woods Care Community, Brampton on Monday December 28, 2020, Audrey Margaret Phillips (nee: Judd) of Tillsonburg, formerly of Montreal age 97 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Lorne Alexander Phillips and her infant daughter, Barbara Lynn Phillips. Dear mother of Linda (David) Shaw of Oakville, and Catherine Phillips (Joe Adams) of Armstrong, British Columbia. Cherished grandmother of Matthew Shaw, Tamara Pearse and Jacob Pearse. Audrey was predeceased by her brothers Kenneth and Russell. She is lovingly remembered by her niece, Darlene Judd and her nephew Glenn Judd. Audrey was the proud graduate of Concordia University in Montreal with a Degree in English with honours just before her 65th birthday. Audrey was a Past Matron and longtime member of Lake St. Louis Chapter #45 of the Quebec Order of the Eastern Star as well as a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter in Tillsonburg. She was also a longtime member of St. Paul’s United Church. From an early age, Audrey was an avid tennis player and later golfer. She was fortunate to be able to continue these pursuits well into her eighties. In keeping with Audrey’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church at a date to be determined with subsequent interment at Tillsonburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario and may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with arrangements.
