With deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Thanasis (Sakis) on Sunday, February 14, 2021.
He was loved by so many and we will all miss his smile, his big heart, his infectious laugh, and most of all, his stories. He is lovingly remembered by his three children Terry (Samantha), Julia (Conor) and Micheal (Jenessa); Micheal’s mother, Joanne Friesen; his grandchildren, Ryder, Ashton and Penelope; his step-children, Leah Lussier (Joel), Robin Doerksen (Dion); their children Jackson, Gracie, Mason and Zoé; as well as his mother Ermioni, his brother Alekos (Sofia), sister Anastasia Kostopoulou (Vaggelis) and his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Naxos, Winnipeg, Morden, and Dawson City.
As per his wishes, he will be buried next to his father in Naxos, Greece at a later date.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions no formal funeral service will be held however, a viewing will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 472 Kirkfield Street.
Please Note: when entering the chapel, you are welcome to view and offer your condolences to the family, please follow social distancing guidelines, and then exit the building to allow others to enter.
