Ardith’s Obituary
McKee, Ardith Marlene – Age 86, of Tatamagouche, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning March 5th, 2020 at Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagoughe, N.S. She was born in Truro on April 16, 1933 to Bessie Isabel (Lynch) Campbell. She is survived by 4 children; sons, Peter James Watson, David Stuart Watson and Kevin Scott Watson; daughter, Tracy Anne Durant, and their spouses; 13 Grandchildren; 5 Great-grandchildren and loving extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Bessie Isabel (Lynch) Campbell; step-father, Peter Roy Campbell (1970); husband, Ronald John McKee (2011); and son, Brian Allan Watson (2002). She was a great mother and home-maker who also belonged to the local hospital Women’s Auxiliary, who at one point served as president, to raise money for the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Foundation in Tatamagouche, N.S. She liked playing games, especially cards, with various local groups where she interacted with people instilling life, fun and making them laugh with her wry wit and humour. She will be remembered as the ‘life of the party’, as some have said, with lots of spark, fun and laughs. Her wish to live at home was fulfilled up to her last 3-4 weeks where she had been in and out of hospital before her passing. The family would like to thank all those who cared for and made it possible for Mom to stay in her own home until her last days, as she had wished. We are grateful to the caring hospital staff for making her last few days comfortable. She is greatly loved and missed by all of her family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche (902-657-3288). A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 in Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche with live webcasting of the service to begin at 12:55 p.m. COVID-19 protocols of face mask wearing and social distancing are to be observed. The recorded service will be available for viewing on the funeral home website approximately 4 hours after the service. Memorial donations to the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Online condolences can be sent to the family by visiting the funeral home website at: www.mmcfunerals.com
May she rest in Peace.
