Annie ‘Joan’ Elliott (Clarke)
Joan was blessed with a wonderful long life. She passed on December 26, 2021 surrounded by the love of her family. Having been born in Orillia, Ontario on January 9, 1932, she was the daughter of Ella & George Clarke; the youngest of four children – Donald, Jeanne and Lloyd.
Joan met the love of her life, James, on a blind date and shared a beautiful marriage of 55 years before James passed in 2013.
Joan was the loving and supporting mother of Lisa & husband Rod Hurst and Scott & wife Diane Elliott. Even in the last few days of her life, she continued to light up in the presence of her grandchildren – Andrew and Devin Hurst and husband Steve Lussier, and Mitchell and Kendall Elliott.
Joan was a true dog lover and volunteered at the Humane Society. She adored all the family dogs over the years.
