Obituary
We are so saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Anne who fought a long battle with cancer.
Anne truly loved everyone, there was no bias and no judgement, just a genuine affection and a soft touch. She had a sense of humour that would have us laughing like crazy one minute and then she could give you a look that said « back off » if you tried to steal a french fry off her plate! Something about Anne that may surprise you is she loved to travel and went on more trips than most people. Her trips included an Alaskan cruise, Disneyland, Nashville, Hawaii, Peggy’s Cove, Mexico and annual summer camps. Anne was an avid bowler and very good at the game, she travelled to many tournaments over the years, some of which she won. After Mom passed away, Anne spent every Christmas with her sister, Betty, brother-in-law, Terry and their family. She loved the Christmas feast and an overnight stay! She also looked forward to sister lunches with Betty, and group lunches with Terry, Betty, Wayne and Lisa. If we didn’t plan one, well she was on the phone planning one with us. Anne had a generosity that surpassed most, she always made sure we received a Christmas card and gift, and her phone calls to just say « hi » and that she loved us, were regular and we will miss them very much.
Anne resided at the Bea Fisher in Lloydminster and had many jobs over the years through the Bea Fisher program. She became an independent thinker because of their guidance. She also developed many close friendships while there and they will miss her dearly. Tammy was the one person who was a constant caregiver for Anne and we owe a deep debt of gratitude for all she has done to help Anne over the years. We know that Tammy is going to miss her just like family. Anne is now singing with the Angels in Heaven!
Anne is survived by: her sisters, Betty (Terry) Burton, and Cindy (Steven) Nasby; her brothers, Wayne (Lisa) Kykkanen, Barry Kykkanen, and Tommy Kykkanen; and her many nieces and nephews.
Anne is predeceased by: her father, Thomas Kykkanen; her mother, Eileen Kykkanen; her step-father, Paul Nadon; and her brothers, Ted Kykkanen, Bobby Kykkanen, and Ron Kykkanen.
