It is with much sadness the family of Anna McIntosh (nee Praught) announce her peaceful passing which occurred suddenly at her residence on Thursday, July 8, 2021. She was aged 86 years of Souris, PE. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her husband of 65 years Frankie and will be remembered as a loving mother to Frank (Sherry), Kathy O’Keefe (Danny Gallant), Jeannette White (Francis), Gerarda Germain (Sheldon) and son-in-law Louis Victor. Anna was a caring and special grandmother to Jillian, Brianne, Angela, Josh, Bradley, Chris, Chad, Jonathan, Scott, Chasidy, Katie, Drew, Ellie, Anya and also to her 18 great grandchildren.
Also, to mourn her loss are siblings Noie Wilson, Madeline Brisson, Frances Pitts, Gertrude Black (Neil), Joe Praught (Eva), Marie Woodhouse and Bernie Praught. In addition, she is survived by the McIntosh family, Karen Praught, Joe O’Keefe, numerous nieces, nephews and her close friends. Anna will be forever remembered for her kindness, community spirit and volunteer work with the CWL, church choir, the Souris Hospital HELP office and various community organizations. She will be deeply missed by all that had the honour of calling her a friend.
Predeceased by her parents Frank and Ellen Praught, parents-in-law Andrew and Cecelia McIntosh, siblings William and Kitty Praught, daughter Bernadette Victor, grandson Jordan White, brothers-in-law Bob Wilson, Guy Brisson, Warren Pitts, Ian Woodhouse and members of the McIntosh family.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place for immediate family and friends. A funeral mass will be celebrated in memory of Anna at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Souris with interment to follow in the church cemetery. If so desired, donations can be made to the St. Mary’s Restoration Fund or the Eastern Kings Health Foundation (Souris Hospital) and are greatly appreciated by the family.
