October 5, 1955 – January 20, 2021
Anita peacefully passed away January 20, 2021 at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital with loving family by her side at the age of 65 years after an eight month battle with cancer. Anita was born in Swan Lake, MB and they lived on a small farm nearby with parents Marguerite and Oscar Lombart and five other siblings: George, Mona, Jerry, Donny and Larry. The family moved to Brandon, MB when Anita was eight, she then finished high school and graduated. Soon after, Anita started her banking career in Brandon, MB, then moved to Edmonton, AB and then to Vernon, BC for the HSBC bank as a Commercial Account Manager. Anita retired after 37 years of banking. Anita met the love of her life, Bob Armitage, and they enjoyed 32 happy years together. They lived on a small farm in Armstrong, BC. Anita enjoyed driving around with Bob in their old cars, boating, flying in their aircraft, holidays down south, but most of all, Anita loved gardening, cooking, having barbeques, on our own deck, spending time with family and lots of friends. Just enjoying life together with Bob with a big smile and laughing will be dearly missed. Until we meet again. Rest in peace my love.
The family extends special thanks to Doctors and staff on the 6th floor of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital for the dedication and care of Anita, thank you.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Anita Hilda Rhodes January 20th 2021..
