Allan’s Obituary
On Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 our hearts were forever broken and our lives forever changed as we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend Allan Jordan Norman at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL at the age of 71 years. Born in Port Union, Trinity Bay, NL. Allan was the son of the late Jordan Norman. He was also predeceased by his infant sister; Cynthia, brothers; Doug (Hedy) Norman, Albert (Jane) Norman, father and mother-in-law; Walter and Irene Raymond (nee Parrott).
Allan leaves behind with many fond and precious memories his loving wife of 49 years; Betty Norman (nee Raymond). He also leaves behind his mother Barbara Norman (nee Reid) of Placentia, NL, daughters; Melanie (Kris) Parsons of St. John’s, NL, Jennifer Norman (Lori Baysdon) of Charlotte, North Carolina, grandchildren; Emily, Sara, Cheyenne, James, Mia, brothers; Jim (Carol) Norman of Little Rock, Arkansas, Barry (Cynthia) Norman of Cupids, NL, sister; Sarah Norman (Wayne Connors) of Placentia, NL, sisters-in-law; Ann (Junior) Parsons of Pasadena, NL, Gwen Tippett of Corner Brook, NL, Paula Raymond (Dianne Dyer) of Hammonds Plains, NL, and brother-in-law; Gord (Rosemary) Raymond of Russell, ON plus a very large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 5th from 2-8 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc with strict COVID-19 rules and regulations as per request of the family. A virtual funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 6th, at 2 pm officiated by Rev. Jane Allen.

Allan was a long time teacher in Port aux Basques and had many students over the years at St. James Junior High. He was an avid gardener, and a very loyal Montreal Canadians fan.
In keeping with Allan’s wishes, cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Allan’s memory can be made to the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre Chemo Unit, 2 Grand Bay Road, P.O. Box 250, Port aux Basques, NL, Canada, A0M 1C0 or to the Dr. H.
