Obituary of Alice Welton McPhee
The passing of Alice Welton McPhee occurred at the Chalmers Hospital on May 31st after a brief illness.
Alice was born in Minto to the late Bruce and Susan (Welton) McPhee. She is survived by her Aunt Sharon (late Enoch) Welton and many cousins. Alice is also survived by some very special friends as well. The family would like to acknowledge Johnny Logue, Mary Miller, Mary Thurrott, Margie Smith as friends who were dear to Alice’s heart and who spent a lot of time with her and whose company she enjoyed immensely.
Alice resided at the W.G. Bishop nursing home for the past 6 years and she enjoyed her time there. She loved puzzles, music playing cards and going on outings the nursing home planned. Alice was also named the Queen of the nursing home and she was so tickled. She wore her sash and crown to an outing to the Regent Mall and was happy to talk to everyone who stopped and asked her about it. That’s a beautiful memory.
Donations to the W.G. Bishop nursing home would be appreciated by the family.
Graveside service at the Baptist cemetery in Newcastle Bridge to take place at a later date.
