It is with deep sadness that the family of the late ALICE K. GAULTON of Parker’s Cove announces her passing. Alice passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Monday, September 27th, 2021 at the age of 72.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband, Arthur of 54 years; son, Keith Gaulton (Judy Hynes) of Parker’s Cove; daughters, Audrey Murphy (Wilson) of Parker’s Cove, Annie Kenway (Brad) of Paradise, Janice Hayse (Troy) of CBS, and Tiffany Murphy (Robert) of St. Philips; 9 grandchildren, Cheryl Murphy (Shane Hannam), Hayley Murphy (Olivia Sturge), Nichols Murphy (Breanna Power), Cody Kenway, Nicole Murphy (Darren Ward), Chloe Kenway, Peyton Hayse, Tanner Murphy and Jacob Murphy; 1 great-granddaughter, Paige; great-grandpuppy, Olli; sister, Mary Murphy of Parker’s Cove; nephew, Wayne Murphy (Lisa Crowley) of Parker’s Cove; great-niece, Kaylie Murphy; great-nephew, Jamie Murphy; all her homecare workers over the past 3 years who always cared and treated her like she was their mom; plus a large number of other family and friends.
Alice was predeceased by her parents, John & Hilda Melay; parents-in-law, Jonas & Annie Gaulton; brother-in-law, Ambrose Murphy; and special sister-in-law, Regina Murphy.
Thank you to the staff of the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre with a special thank you to Carol Ann Riggs and the Health Science Centre, 4 North B for the wonderful care and attention given to Alice during her stay.
The Gaulton Family will be accepting visitors at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Parker’s Cove on Tuesday, September 28th beginning at 7:00 pm; Wednesday, September 29th, all day; and Thursday, September 30th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions this will be a walk through visitation. Everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the church and masks are required.
Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Parker’s Cove on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 4:00 pm. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Cemetery, Parker’s Cove.
In Alice’s memory flowers gratefully accepted.
