It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of the late Adella Harris of Fortune announce her peaceful passing at the St. Clare’s Hospital in St. John’s on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the age of 67.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are husband, Patrick of 45 years; daughter, Goldie Johnson (Frank) of Richmond, BC; sisters, Shirley Matchem, Renee Marks and Daisy Barnes (Clayton); brother, Archie Thorne (Rosalind Harris) ; 1 grandchild, Kevin Johnson; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Adella was pre-deceased by her parents, Arch and Jane Thorne.
The Harris Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Fortune on Monday, April 5th, 2021 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm and Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. In keeping with the current COVID 19 regulations there are no more than 20 people permitted inside the building at any one time. Masks are mandatory and every visitor will be required to sign in as you enter the building. Please note that there is no food or beverages permitted in the building.
Funeral service to take place at the Salvation Army Citadel in Fortune on Thursday, April 8th, 2021 at a time to be announced.
Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Fortune.
