Obituary of Aaron Robert Heywood
HEYWOOD : It is with much sadness, Aaron’s family announces his passing on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Owen Sound Regional Hospital, while surrounded by the love and prayers of those who loved him the most. Aaron was born on May 20, 1982 to his loving parents Bob and Kathy. Left behind to miss him immensely are his fiancé, Catherine Powell and her children Brailin and Autumn who he considered as his own. Aaron was loved his entire life by his parents Bob and Martha Heywood and Scott and Kathy (Scott) Rowland. Privileged to be his siblings are Lynette (Jeff) Lewis, Josh Heywood, Cody (Rachael) Rowland, Tyler (Rachel) Rowland, Lisa (Matt) Wood, and Teri (Craig) Hern. Aaron was the beloved and adored uncle of Stella and Grace Lewis, who will treasure their memories that Aaron’s imagination created for them. Aaron was much loved and will be dearly missed by Catherine’s entire family. Aaron was called Papa by two very special children to him. He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as his nieces Makenna Wood and Kanya Hern and nephew Curtis Wood. Aaron attended Stephen Central Public School and South Huron District High School. He chose to apprentice in the trades, with active tickets in sheet metal and gas fitting. He was recently employed by Sheet Metal Workers International Association Local 473. Aaron had a heart of gold and everyone knew it. If someone needed a hand, he was there. Aaron took great pride in his many accomplishments. He didn’t shy away from any home renovations and loved to show off his handiwork. He loved to golf and would wake up with the sun to do so. Aaron would never hesitate to stop and take a photograph of a stunning countryside scene and send it to his family. Aaron was renowned as the man who walked peacefully through his backyard forest followed by both his devoted dog, Gemma and cat, David. Aaron did a great job of reaching out to old friends to stay in touch and always made sure his family knew they were loved by him. Aaron had some struggles that he was determined to overcome and he tried his best. The Teen Challenge program held a special place in his heart. Aaron had a solid faith and understanding of what Christ had accomplished for him. Aaron did not shy away from sharing this good news and his blessed assurance with others and had a remarkable testimony. Aaron leaves us all with joy filled memories and hope for the future.
