Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of our loving mother and grandmother Marva Black who passed away at the age of 80 years.
Marva was born in Fernie, BC and lived most of her life in this area. She worked many years in the Provincial Court Services as the Court Registrar up to her retirement.
Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her best friend and daughter Cheri, while her pride and joy was her only granddaughter, Jaycee. She will always be remembered for her generosity and kindness to others, as well as her love for animals. She had a great passion for gardening and creating beautiful quilts which she gifted to many of her family and friends.
Marva is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Jarrod Martens, granddaughter Jaycee Martens, and brothers Dale (Fiona) and Harold (Dolly) Anderson. She was predeceased by her parents John and Irene Anderson. She will also be greatly missed by her caring spiritual brothers and sisters at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Mom, Nana, we will be eternally blessed by your giving spirit and loving nature, and you will forever hold a space in our hearts no one can ever fill.
