Dwaine Richard Schamuhn, age 76, of Leduc passed away on April 9, 2021. Dwaine was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Harry and Lenora Schamuhn on April 22, 1944. He attended school in Leduc, went on to complete his B.Ed at the University of Alberta, taught High School for several years, and then went on to raise cattle and farm in the Leduc area for the remainder of his life. He was a dedicated father, spouse (to Dr. Iris Kumpula), an exceptional grandfather, life-long farmer, and active community member. He is survived by his children, Tammy Schamuhn (Allan) and Justin Schamuhn (Chelsie); 3 grandchildren who were the light of his life: Wyatt Schamuhn, Aubrey Schamuhn, and Ayden Leciej; sisters Tarrie Dewar (Garland) and Jordis Besel (Peter). A Celebration of Life will be taking place on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 1:00 pm and will be live streamed using the following link: https://distantlink.com/SerenityLeduc-Wetaskiwin.html In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Leduc 4-H Beef Club.
